"Gangster" Chicken

Friday night. Date night with Sal. 

Let me start with our 2 simple "rules" for what a date is. #1- no kids. That has become easier the past couple years. Love them, but love my wife more. #2- no words. As in, no words on the shirt. That helps encourage us to dress up a little (or at least be more intentional) in what we wear. 

Other than that, we can go anywhere and do anything for a date. One of our favorite dates is Dine & Dash - grab a bite to eat and then run to Dillons for groceries. 

Tonight we needed to get a few things for our upcoming trip. Then we went to one of our favorite places for supper- Slim Chickens.

Slim Chickens is the bad boy of chicken sandwich joints. They don't even try to hide it. Look at that logo above. That's a gangster chicken if I ever saw one. And his name is "Slim."  Very gangster. To top it all off, they're open on Sundays. Trust me, you won't hear "My Pleasure" here. But you will get delicious chicken. My favorite is the Cayenne Ranch Chicken Sandwich, aka the Big Bird. And they have the BEST peach sweet tea ever brewed. 

Next time you're there, order the sabBRADical. They won't know what you are talking about. But I'd love to see the look on their face.
