During our time serving at Echo Ranch Bible Camp in Juneau, Alaska, my father-in-law would say, "Everybody's dream is to be a missionary home on furlough." I'd expect people to say similar things about a preacher on sabbatical.

Eight years ago (2010) I had the opportunity, as a youth pastor at Hesston MB Church, to go on my first sabBRADical. During those three months, I helped build our detached garage, went on an extended family vacation to the East Coast and volunteered with Solid Rock International in my homeland - San Juan, Dominican Republic.

It is time for sabBRADical 2018. A time for reflection, renewal and growth. Excited to see what God has in store.
